I am not sure how I can fit into one letter how we have thought about you, prayed for you and wished the best for you and your child. We can’t imagine how difficult this road has been to travel. We know you love your child so much and as any great mother, you are doing this because you love your baby so much that you are unselfishly considering your baby’s needs before your own.
Like you, we are on a path that we did not expect to be on. After trying for over 2 years to conceive, receiving the news that our 2nd IVF cycle was unsuccessful and that our doctor did not believe we could conceive, we knew adoption was the next move to grow our family. As difficult as that news was to hear, I am so thankful I have such a wonderful husband who always knows the right thing to say. Whenever I was feeling down, Roger would make me feel better by reminding me that, “one way or another, we will have our baby.” I also found comfort in a saying I have loved for years, "With every door that closes, God opens a window." There have been many times in my life that this has held true but never more than now. Because of you and open adoption, we will have the child that we have been praying for.
Even though it is the most difficult decision you will have to make, we hope you will take comfort in knowing your child will be surrounded with so much love by placing your baby with us. We hope that as you read this letter, our blog, and our facebook page you will see that we have a lot of love to give and share with you and your child. This is not the end of our road or a closed door, it’s just a new window that is being opened for us. Our paths have crossed for a reason and they will continue to cross as we raise this child together.
